Still my favourite little blog in the world! This is a true eLearning class where everything is integrated with their learning and the blog and wiki is used as a genuine part of the learning. It's a classroom without walls indeed and a favourite place for my class to look for news and reviews.
Last week, Point View had a art exhibition. Our art was based on Hayley Hamilton .
My favorite piece was a white seagull in a blue shaded background. It has white at the very top.
I think they used paint for the color ,paper for the feathers and a vivid for the eyes.
I loved this piece of art because the sea and the sky blend nicely.
I think they used feathers for the feathers too because it looks fluffy.I hope other people will agree with me.
Wow!
What amazing artists we have at Point View School.
We have all loved going into the hall to view the different, beautiful art that there is on show.
It was a long process, but finally our work was complete too.
Here is a photo of it on display.
We hope you love it as much as we do.
We looked at the art of Hayley Hamilton and used her ideas of words out of clay and threaded beads.
Today we did a walk around the school we looked in other classes to see what kind of artwork and activities they did. Some of the classes were quite different to room 11.

Hi Room 11
My name is Mrs Beveridge and I teach at a school in Hamilton.
I came across your BLOG by accident when I was looking for ways that we could make our school a fun and enjoyable place to be outside. You see our school is quite new and the classrooms are all lovely and fancy but the outside of our school hasn't been finished. I saw all these great photos on your BLOG of you working outside. It looks like you have some sort of really nice garden. Can you please tell me more about it? I'd love to show the principal at my school and see if we could set up something like that at our school. What are the fun things that you can do there? Are there different activities? Do you have a favourite?
I'm really looking forward to hearing from you and seeing what else pops up on your BLOG.
Your friend from Hamilton

Today Wednesday 5 September the Point view gymnastics comp was on. Year 3's and fours had to do a beam routine, floor routine, and then volt. Lauryn got a score of 9.7 on volt and 8.5 on floor routine but they didn't give the results. By Lauryn and Lucy.
What a fabulous, fit class we are!
On Wednesday (finally) we got to race in the school cross country.
Everybody tried soooo hard.
There were 3 mini Usain Bolts in Room 11
Archie came 1st in Y3 boys.
Sophie came 1st and Lucy 3rd in Y3 girls.
Great job everyone, I was very proud of you all!
Sophie Shared this song with us. It was put together by Flight of the Concords, who interviewed a whole lots of kids. Finally the songs was sung by many different NZ musicians.

On 15 august 2012 it was mini olympics day Room 11 was representing Spain our class won a medal in each game so we came second. We were the only year 3 class that won,we were very very happy.
R11 came 2nd equal in the Middle School Mini Olympics - woo hoo! We hula hooped, shape boxed, chopstick challenged, bum-shuffle canoed, batted the balls and pair skipped. We were awesome!
Yesterday in the technology room 11
and Mr Rankin we did technology. Our favorite activity was digger school, technic lego and building diggers. We enjoy it.
This week room 11 had 2 fantastic days with Mr Rankin. They built diggers, played computer games like Lego.com, played with technic lego, they went to digger school and they built their very own digger. They even had a rice explosion!
What an exciting morning we had. It was so cool seeing the tiny, noisy red dot in the sky head toward us then grow and finally land on our field as the Westpac Rescue helicopter.
